Working Together to Strengthen NH’s Veteran Workforce
December 11 @ 9:00 am - 11:30 am
New Hampshire’s population of veterans is changing.
Vietnam-era veterans are nearing the traditional retirement age and today, you’ll find a range of generations within the veteran community contributing to today’s workforce—all at different stages of their civilian careers with a range of unique needs.
A one-size-fits-all approach to effectively serving this population won’t work. Rather, an approach that’s supported by the collaboration and expertise of those locally who serve veterans is needed to help the community stay competitive and pursue fulfilling and viable career opportunities.
With a panel of experts from local colleges, employers, nonprofits, and state agencies that support veterans, this forum will uncover how we can work together to reach this outcome.
- How veterans services, higher education, and employers currently support veteran employment
- Explore underemployment and how education and credentialing can combat this issue
- Discuss opportunities and challenges to attracting and retaining veterans
