Hurricane Ian Resources

09.29.22

Hurricane Ian made landfall in western Florida on Wednesday (9/28/2022) as a Category 4 storm. The storm has since been downgraded to a Category 1 hurricane, and is expected to weaken as it passes Orlando and moves off the northeast coast of Florida by Friday (9/30/2022).

We encourage all students in Florida to heed your local hurricane warnings, take precautions, and make preparations. The safety and well-being of our community is our top priority. Faculty members are asked to be flexible for impacted students.

On behalf of the faculty and staff, we are thinking of our community members in the hurricane’s path and we hope that you and your families remain safe.

Below is a list of resources available in Florida and nationally. Please access support as needed and reach out if the College can be of assistance during this difficult time.
