Meet the 2020-2021 University System Student Board Representatives

Granite State College is excited to announce two new representatives for the University System Student Board (USSB) for the 2020-2021 academic year. José Calvo ’23 will represent the College’s undergraduate students and Tyler Minnich ’20, M.S. 2022 Health Care Management will serve as Granite State’s Student Trustee and represent the graduate student population.

As USSB members, Calvo and Minnich will work alongside the University System of New Hampshire (USNH) trustees and its committees to ensure that student voice is connected to the decision-making process. Each institution within the USNH—Keene State College, Plymouth State University, UNH, and Granite State—has two USSB representatives, making this a unique and prestigious opportunity for the student representatives.

José Calvo ’23

B.S. in Accounting and Finance

Student Board Representative.

An Accounting and Finance major, José Calvo is a born and bred Granite Stater; born in Keene, raised in Goffstown, and worked in Durham and Concord. Prior to transferring to Granite State College, Calvo studied Political Science at the University of New Hampshire where he acquired a passion for advocacy and public policy. He looks forward to representing Granite State College’s undergraduate students on the University System Student Board as a representative this year!

Tyler Minnich ’22

M.S. in Health Care Management

Student Board Representative.

Upon earning her recent Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management and Psychology degree, Tyler Minnich is continuing her education in the Master of Science in Health Care Management program. Minnich represented the undergraduate population on the USSB during the 2019-2020 academic year, and is excited to serve Granite State’s graduate students in this role.

Originally from Virginia Beach, Tyler Minnich has been living in the greater Concord, New Hampshire, area for the past seven years. In her free time, Minnich enjoys spending time with family, hiking, and the outdoors.
