Meet the 2019-2020 University System Student Board Representatives
Granite State College is excited to announce two new representatives for the University System Student Board (USSB) for the 2019-2020 academic year. Tyler Minnich ‘20 will represent the College’s undergraduate students and Aura Huot ‘20 will serve the graduate student population.
As USSB members, Minnich and Huot will work alongside the University System of New Hampshire (USNH) trustees and its committees to ensure that student voice is connected to the decision-making process. Each institution within the USNH—Keene State College, Plymouth State University, UNH, and Granite State—has two USSB representatives, making this a unique and prestigious opportunity for the student representatives.
Meet Your USSB Representatives
Tyler Minnich ’20
B.S. in Health Care Management and Psychology
Originally from Virginia Beach, Tyler Minnich has been living in Concord, New Hampshire, for the past six years. Pursuing a dual major, one in Health Care Management and the other in Psychology, Minnich is on track to graduate in the Spring of 2020. Minnich currently serves as a senior claim analyst for Cigna in Hooksett, New Hampshire. Prior to working at Cigna, Minnich worked at CVS Health in their pharmacy department. The aspects of these roles that Minnich enjoys the most is serving as a patient advocate. Minnich aspires to pursue a career in an inpatient/ outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in an administrative role and support those affected by addiction overcome this challenge. Minnich looks forward to implementing the skills that she’s gained at Granite State College to achieve this goal. Outside of work, Minnich enjoys hiking, reading, and traveling.
Aura Huot ‘19, M.S. Leadership ’20
M.S. in Leadership
Aura Huot has worked for Stonyfield, Inc. for 14 years. She is a passionate Human Resource Leader with broad understanding of the business environment, able to translate opportunities into action to drive employee experience, organization’s mission, and HR strategy. Huot earned her B.S. in Business Management in 2019 and is currently pursuing the M.S. in Leadership with a special interest in Organizational Diversity and Behavior. Huot deeply values the opportunity to give back, the honor to serve, and she looks forward to contributing at a larger level in her role as a USSB representative. Huot is a triathlete, runner, surfer, hiker, volleyball player, marathoner, and ultra-marathoner. In her spare time, Huot enjoys reading, writing, meditating, practicing yoga, and spending time with her husband and family.
