More than 120 people celebrated Granite State College’s 45th anniversary on the evening of September 14 at Derryfield Country Club. The College has served the needs of more than 67,000 adult students and active-duty military from New Hampshire and beyond since 1972. Granite State College provides a high-quality, personalized educational experience that considers each student’s past educational and work skills.
“While it’s always wonderful to celebrate milestones, this evening was distinctive for me,” said Mark Rubinstein, Granite State College president. “We had the opportunity to hear from the people who created this institution—the catalysts—and they had a chance to see how far we’ve come in 45 years.”
Equally important, the College collected funds to grow an alumni scholarship that helps students in need afford tuition. The evening ended with a touching video featuring College alumni and staff. Granite State College is part of the University System of New Hampshire with classes offered across the state, including its home base in Concord.
