What is involved in taking
an “intensive” course?
The Xtremeight five week-intensives are fast-paced
courses in which you will be working both independently and in collaboration
with your fellow students and instructor on a regular basis. Here are
a few "tips for success" for taking a 5-week intensive course:
-
Dedicate approximately 20 hours per week to take this course. This
time will include reading, completing assignments, and participating
in group activities and discussion.
-
Participate fully in the course. Your ideas and comments, shared
with faculty and classmates, are important and valued.
-
Manage your time wisely in order to complete your assignments on
or before deadlines.
-
Seek assistance immediately if you are experiencing any difficulties.
Your instructor or advisor can be a great asset to problem solving.
Our Technical Assistance Center is available to you for any technical
concerns.
-
If you are taking an online course, log in daily to check for updates,
read messages, post to the discussion board, and work on assignments.
