Transfer Options

Transform an associate degree into a bachelor's degree or complete a degree you once started.

Transferring to Granite State College is a great option for many people.

  • Take classes online or in your local community
  • Transfer credits earned through prior learning
  • Transfer credits earned from previous college experience
  • Attend part-time or full-time
  • Four terms per year let you finish faster

Qualified students are eligible for financial aid even if you are only taking one class per term

Transfer Credit Policy:

Granite State College views your learning as a foundation on which to build your degree program. We have a liberal transfer policy depending upon degree requirements.

You can transfer credits earned for courses you have satisfactorily completed with a grade of "C" or better at other colleges or universities if the schools you attended were regionally accredited institutions of higher education approved by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

CCSNH Transfers:

Students who have graduated from a CCSNH college can apply to GSC for free! The application fee is waived for all CCSNH graduates.

Foreign Country Transfer Credits:

If you attended a college or university in a foreign country and wish to have credits transferred into a Granite State College degree program, you will need to have your transcript translated and evaluated before you are fully admitted. Information on the evaluation of foreign transcripts is available by writing directly to:

  • The maximum we transfer at the associate level is 48 credits and at the bachelor's level 94 credits.
  • A maximum of 64 credits will be accepted from all two-year institutions, if applicable to degree requirements. In some cases formal articulation agreements with two-year institutions will allow transfer of additional credits.
  • A maximum of 64 semester hours from completed three-year RN nursing diploma programs can be accepted in transfer. You must provide to the Admissions Office an official transcript and documentation, such as your original nursing license, that you have successfully passed a Registered Nurses State Board examination.

Evaluation of Prior Learning Options include:

  • Testing Programs such as CLEP, DSST, Regents and NOCTI Examination Programs.
