Placement
Any of these sound familiar? "The last time I read a textbook was 20 years ago!" "I haven't written a paper since high school!" "I'm not sure about my math skills." "Which writing course should I take?" "I never took algebra!"
We will help you with your questions, and provide you with appropriate options for learning.
Our staff and faculty want you to succeed in your educational experience with us. That is why we have selected the College Board's Accuplacer program to help you achieve your educational goals.
Accuplacer is an assessment tool that identifies your academic strengths and needs so that you can plan your course work at the college.
The scores from your Accuplacer assessments, also called Computerized Placement Tests or CPTs, provide us with information about your level of skill in reading, writing and mathematics.
We require these assessments to help match your skill level to your course expectations, as well as for admission into a degree program. You and your advisor can then use this information to make appropriate course selections.
Please use our Assessment Guide to learn more about the Accuplacer program. Find out who must take assessments, what assessments you must take, where and when to sign up for an assessment session, and much more.
