Veterans
If you are active military or are a veteran; there are two distinct advantages of coming to Granite State College; Credit for Military Training and Tuition Benefits.

We accept credit recommendations from the American Council on Education (ACE) for training for all branches of the military. Active duty military are also eligible for tuition assistance, and all of our degree programs are approved for veterans' GI Bill benefits.

Credit for Military Training
The American Council on Education (ACE) has evaluated hundreds of MOS ratings and military courses for specialized content. The ACE credit recommendations for each rating and course are available online at www.militaryguides.acenet.edu.

Our Academic Advisors are familiar with these guides and will help you explore your options for applying ACE credit recommendations for your military training to a degree at Granite State College.

Credits will be applied to your degree requirements depending upon your choice of degree and individual plan of study. To start off, we award four credits for Basic Training. You may have a head start on your degree already!

Tuition Benefits
If you are on active military duty, contact your military education office or educational representative for details concerning your eligibility for tuition assistance.

If you are a veteran, we encourage you to take advantage of the benefits provided by the GI Bill. In order to use these benefits, you must be enrolled in an approved academic program.
