Admissions Process9 Easy Steps Step 1. Complete Application Form As part of the Application you will be required to submit a 1 page essay. Be prepared to cut and paste your essay as part of the application. Step 2. Mail application fee to:
Step 3. Request official copies of your transcripts using the GSC Transcript Request Form Step 4. Placement for course enrollment is required. Check with your advisor to determine if you have met the placement criteria or if you need to take the Accuplacer Placement Exams. In-state applicants may make arrangements for taking Accuplacer placement at any of our Centers. If you are out-of-state, identify the exam center nearest you by visiting the National College Testing Association and selecting your state. Notify your advisor of your preferred test center and your exam will be arranged for you by an Academic Resource Information Coordinator. Step 5. If you wish to apply for federal financial aid, complete the Financial Aid process Step 6. Register for classes using the GSC Registration Form and fax or mail to your advisor. Step 7. Order books through MBS Direct. You will need the location, course title, and CRN number (identifying number) of the course you are taking. Step 8. Start your first class! Step 9. Set up an appointment with your advisor to discuss your Plan of Study when you receive it from the Admissions Office. Create a username and password and email account in Blackboard by following the Quicklink for MyGranite/Bb at www.granite.edu.
