Accommodations for Disability

Learners with Disabilities
Granite State College provides equal educational opportunities to learners with disabilities.

Individuals who have self-identified, provided documentation of the disability, and requested reasonable accommodations, are entitled to receive:

Approved modifications of programs, appropriate adjustments, or aids that enable you to participate and benefit from the educational programs and activities of the college.

What are academic accommodations?
Academic Accommodations are services that provide equal educational opportunities to learners with disabilities. They are provided on an individual basis and determined by documented needs. Selection of accommodations is based on the nature of the disability, the academic environment, and your needs.

You must identify your disability and provide recent documentation of the disability from an appropriate source. We will work with you to help identify needed services, equipment, and accommodations.

Who do I contact to request academic accommodations?
Granite State College's official contact for learners with disabilities who may need to request services and accommodations is the Dean for Learner Services. Phone: 603-228-3000 or 888-228-3000. E-mail: tessa.mcdonnell@granite.edu

Contact the Dean for Learner Services if...

  • You are a prospective student who has a disability, and may need to request accommodations. The earlier you contact us the better!
  • You would like to volunteer to help learners with disabilities in activities such as note-taking in class or reading aloud on tape or in person.
  • You are enrolled, have a disability and find you need accommodation.
