How to Get Started

Thinking about going to college? Whether you are returning to college after an absence of many years, starting out for the first time or are a recent high school graduate or transfer — Granite State College is within your reach!

The academics section describes our degree programs and course delivery options, including our 100% online degrees.

We suggest you schedule an appointment with an Academic Advisor to discuss your particular learning goals and needs. Search the college directory under Advising to select someone nearest you.

Financial Aid provides counseling and assistance in obtaining loans and scholarships.

Granite State College's four term academic calendar and rolling admissions policy makes going to college convenient and accessible. Rolling admissions allows you to apply anytime and start at the beginning of any of the four terms.

We've made applying to Granite State College as uncomplicated as possible.

  • Certification of high school graduation, completion of a GED, or successful Accuplacer placement is required for admission.
  • An advisor will meet with you, in person or online, to discuss admission, course requirements, degree options, financial aid, and support services.
  • The college has a generous transfer credit policy. We accept applicable course work that you earned with a grade of "C" or better from any regionally accredited college.
  • We accept credit from CLEP,DSST, and Excelsior Examination Programs. You may also earn credit through our prior learning options and validation of formal training at work.
