Faculty Professional Development Fund

The 2009-2010 Faculty Professional Development Fund is a source of support for faculty development activities that strengthen the teaching and learning at GSC.

Funding Criteria and Priorities

• Awards are given for professional activities by active faculty members when those activities clearly indicate a direct connection to teaching/learning at GSC.
• Expenses associated with completion of degrees, individual research, or for-profit projects are not funded.
• Priority is given to expenses that are modest (given the budget) and clearly documented.
• Funding awards average between $100 and $500, and partial funding may be awarded.  Documented receipts must be submitted for reimbursement.
• Priority is given to first time applicants; no faculty member will receive more than one award per year.
