You can search by author or title and read the text of a book, or you can use MP-3 technology to download the audio. All available books are now in the public domain. Classic Literature Library - Scroll through the larger, left-hand column and click on the author you would like to read. Clicking will get you a brief biography of the author and a listing (a clickable listing) of his/her works. Some authors featured at this site are: Shakespeare, Jules Verne, Charles Dickens, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Charles Darwin and many more. These books are in the public domain. Gale Virtual Reference Library - This collection of current, high-quality reference resources are searchable by keyword and are licensed to Granite State College through a grant from USNH grant. These materials are accessible by students and faculty of Granite State College. They are not public domain materials. Online Literature Library - Scroll down and click on the authors' index to find a list of authors whose works are available full-text and unabridged. You will find works by: Jack London, Stephen Crane, the Bronte sisters and much more. Harvard Classics & Shelf of Fiction - Selected by Charles W. Eliot, LLD, this collection provides access to a comprehensive and well-researched anthology which comprises both the 50-volume "5-foot shelf of books" and the 20-volume Shelf of Fiction. Together they cover every major literary figure, philosopher, religion, folklore and historical subject through the twentieth century. (from the site). NetLibrary - This product is available in computer labs located at Granite State College centers statewide. Provides access to the full-text of over 4,400 e-books on current topics.
