The information literate student at Granite State College accesses information effectively and efficiently.

  • Identifies and accesses Granite State College licensed databases.
  • Identifies keywords relating to a topic.
  • Describes strategies for developing a keyword list.
  • Produces a list of full-text articles around a focused topic.
  • Selects and uses articles that are peer-reviewed.
  • Explains the difference between results from a licensed database and results from an Internet search.
  • Lists common Boolean operators.
  • Develops a query using a Boolean operator and key words.
