  University System of New HampshireThe University System of New Hampshire (USNH) mission is to serve the higher educational needs of the people of New Hampshire. The primary purpose of New Hampshire's public four year colleges and universities is to educate and prepare students to become fully engaged and productive members of our society and our economy.

Through the programs and services of its four institutions, USNH enhances the quality of life and strength of the economy by providing the knowledge base that helps individuals develop their full intellectual potential.

  • Granite State College
    Founded in 1972, and headquartered in Concord, the College offers flexibility, value and state-wide accessibility to higher education for adults of all ages who seek alternatives to traditional campus-based programs.
  • Keene State College
    Founded in 1909, and located in southwestern New Hampshire, KSC is a traditional campus-based four-year, liberal arts college that focuses primarily on undergraduate education.
  • Plymouth State University
    Founded in 1871, and located in the foothills of New Hampshire's White Mountains, PSU is the state's comprehensive regional university, providing education in the liberal arts and sciences that fulfills both undergraduate and graduate missions.
  • University of New Hampshire
    Founded in 1866, with its main campus in Durham, UNH is New Hampshire's flagship public research university, providing comprehensive, high-quality undergraduate and graduate programs. UNH-Manchester, an urban campus established in 1985, offers selected liberal arts and professional degree programs to people who live and work in the greater Merrimack Valley Region of the state.
