Granite State College’s School of Education has a strong commitment to preparing future teachers to master the technologies of today and tomorrow.
Our teachers will be leaders and understand the importance of technology for data-driven decision making and improved learning engagement, opportunities and results. Every student in the teacher education program will be trained in the use of an iPad* in the field, for the collection of formative achievement data and extensive use within the program. E-texts, web sources, Apple’s educational applications and other productivity applications will be utilized in each class.
Teacher candidates will develop an electronic professional portfolio utilizing TaskStream (subscription required) beginning with their first class. TaskStream enables you to turn in assignments and add them to your professional portfolio, preserving key assignments highlighting your professional accomplishments over the course of your program. You will present this professional portfolio at the Exit Interview at the completion of your program.
