Technical Requirements

These are the basic technical requirements and computer skills needed to take an Online Interactive Course (OIC) at Granite State College.

Technical Requirements:

• A Pentium computer which runs Windows 98, ME, 2000, or XP operating system or MAC OS 10.2x or OS X 10.3 (CD ROM drive may be required). Important Information About Microsoft VISTA
• Anti-virus software.
• The most recent version of Microsoft Office software is recommended.
• Access to the Internet - 56k or faster connection preferred (28.8 kbps minimum).
• A Web Browser such as Netscape Navigator 7.1 or Internet Explorer 5.2, 5.5 or 6.0. Important Note: See MyGranite Help: Browser Settings for specific Web Browser information.
• An e-mail address is required in order for us to contact you in the event of technical difficulties affecting your course or our network. You can get a free e-mail account via many online companies and services.
• Access to a printer and you may also need access to a fax machine.
