Professional Development & College Enrollment

What kind of assistance is available for DCYF staff?
The "Professional Development and College Enrollment Program" is available to all staff of the NH Division for Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) upon the completion of pre-service training requirements. The goal of the program is to enhance the quality of the delivery of direct services to children and youth by assisting DCYF staff with individual Professional Development Plans, career counseling services, college enrollment and assistance in the processes involved in attending classes at USNH institutions and private colleges.

Granite State College has a six-year history of assisting DCYF staff with individual Professional Development Plans, career counseling services and academic advising. DCYF provides tuition assistance to staff that wish to pursue a child welfare career/educational path.

What is a "Professional Development Plan"?
The Professional Development Plan is a summation of your education and professional history, the skills you've developed thus far in your career, your future professional and individual goals and the steps you need to reach them.

Who do I contact?
If you are a DCYF employee and would like to meet with an academic/career counselor who will work with you on your Professional Development Plan, contact the Education and Training Partnership by phone at 603-271-6625 or by e-mail at etp.info@granite.edu.
