She was previously employed at the Spurwink school where she worked with residential students. Robin is a foster parent and also teaches Foundations for Fostering. Foad Afshar, Psy.D. is an experienced educator, evaluator, clinical mental health therapist and administrator with over twenty years of experience in schools, mental health centers and rehabilitation settings. He has taught graduate and undergraduate courses in psychology and education for the past 15 years. Foad holds licenses and certification in mental health counseling and clinical hypnotherapy, school psychology, guidance, and school administration. Beth Bascom, B.S., M.Ed. is the mother of six grown children, four home-made and two adopted and has been involved with foster children for over twenty years. She has a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Development and a M.Ed. in Social and Behavioral Health. For 25 years she ran her own business distributing family and inspirational books. She has worked as a consultant for international organizations working with vulnerable children and as an area director for a foreign exchange program. She has volunteered as a youth worker in her church, advocated for at risk families taught parenting and personal growth seminars both locally and nationally. She teaches Foundations for Fostering and COT courses. Marty Boldin, M.S.W., L.I.C.S.W., L.A.D.C. is the Director of Social Services at Child Health Services in Manchester. He has several years of experience in the development and implementation of social service initiatives in a variety of settings. Marty's clinical practice includes specialization in substance abuse treatment and trauma therapy. He is a co-founder of the Community Empowerment Project. Tammy Bond, B.S. is the Community Liaison at Casey Family Services in Concord, NH focusing on community relations and development. She has eleven years of experience working in sheltered living, foster care and residential settings. Tammy is a co-writer of NH TRAILS; a statewide independent living curriculum designed to address the unique needs of youth in placement. Donna Brewer has been a specialized foster parent for 14 years, a childcare provider for 32 years, and is an adoptive parent. She currently instructs Foundations for Fostering courses. Donna has been involved with the Keene area Foster Parent Link program since its inception and co-authored the foster parent mentoring course. Laura Brown, Psy.D. is a Psychologist at the Northern Health Services in Berlin, NH. Since moving to the North Country she has taught classes through Granite State College and provided training for foster parents through the Education & Training Partnership. She compliments her teaching with clinical work in community based treatment with rural families. Nancy Brown, M.A. instructs health education at Philips Exeter Academy and is a Health and Sexuality Educator for Strafford County Primary Health Care Clinic. Nancy has experience teaching teen sexuality and decision making for Boston public school system. She has assisted in the development of curriculum and trained teachers in health and sexuality. Norman Brown, M.Ed. worked for the FBI in the latent fingerprint bureau then joined the US Air Force as a military police officer and now is an Army Reserve Senior Instructor. He has worked for local and state police agencies for 14 years. Since 1990, Norm has been the Superintendent of the Coos County Department of Corrections. He is a part time Deputy Sheriff for Coos County and teaches Granite State College criminal justice courses. William Burke, J.D. brings expertise from former law enforcement positions in California and as the former Chief of Police for the city of Portsmouth. Bill's membership affiliations include: F.B.I., NH Attorney General's Drug Task Force, and International Association of Police. Jacqueline Capello, B.A. Nancee Caughey, M.S.W. is a Granite State College Learner Services Coordinator in Conway. She has an extensive background in teaching, training, and case/group work with children and families. Nancee has instructed college courses in Child/Human Development, Social Services, Counseling Theory and Family Dynamics. Maureen Cavanagh, B.A.has been a parent child educator for Early Intervention and has also worked extensively in the Chapter One Program. Maureen is affiliated with the North Country Education Foundation. D. Rebecca Cleary, B.A. has an extensive background in instructing Spanish to middle, high school, and adult students. Becca has studied Spanish grammar, literature, and culture at St. Louis University in Madrid, Spain. Martine Cloutier, M.Ed. Barbara Cohen, Ed.D. has a wealth of teaching and administrative experience in special education. She is a past member of the Professional Standards Board at the Department of Education and former Director of Continuing Education at the Crotched Mountain Foundation. Barbara is a Regional Coordinator for Granite State College's Special Education Teacher Training Program. Christopher Colpitts, M.S.W. has worked in social services for sixteen years. For the last six years, he has been employed as a social worker for Casey Family Services, first in Concord and now in Littleton. Chris has also worked in a residential treatment facility for children with a variety of emotional and developmental disabilities. Donna Cummings, M.S.W. has been a foster and an adoptive parent for 14 years and has provided care to over 45 children. She has also instructed and developed courses in topics within the area of abuse and domestic violence. Donna is the director of Response to Sexual and Domestic Violence in Coos County. Jennifer DeLorme, M.S.W. is a social worker at Casey Family Services in Concord where she works on the post-adoption team. Jennifer specializes in sexual abuse education and training. Dorothy Derapelian, M.Ed., L.C.M.H.C.is an experienced therapist and educator. She has had a private psychotherapy practice in Meredith, NH for over 15 years, specializing in Play Therapy. She teaches several classes for Granite State College, and conducts home studies for Child and Family Services for families interested in domestic and international adoption. Dorothy is an adoptive parent of a child from Russia with special needs. Jane DiGiulio, Specialized Foster Parent has been a specialized foster parent for 13 years. She is a Family Focus Parent Educator and has facilitated various trainings including Foundations for Fostering modules and a course on sibling relationships. Previously, Jane was the Director of The Family Resource Center in Farmington. Carmella Dow, M.S.W., L.I.C.S.W. has extensive experience as a Family Specialist for Lutheran Social Services in the Therapeutic Foster Care Program. She has taught Social Work courses at Plymouth State College, and is a former teacher at Spaulding Youth Center. Carmella is currently a consultant for Lutheran Social Services International Adoption Program. Patricia Dowey, M.Ed., Ed.D. is the Director of Special Education for the Exeter School District, and has extensive teaching experience in the area of Special Education and Criminal Justice. She instructs for Granite State College on the Seacoast and was adjunct faculty for UNH. Barbara Drotos, M.S.W., L.I.C.S.W. is currently the Regional Manager for Wide Horizons for Children, Inc., in New Hampshire and Vermont. Barb has been working with foster and adoptive families for the past fifteen years. Some of her areas of specialty are special needs adoption, childhood trauma, attachment, parenting children with developmental and emotional disabilities, and post adoption services. Barb has worked with families in the community as well as in a clinical setting. In addition to her work, Ms. Drotos is the single parent of an energetic boy. Ann Duckless, M.A. Counseling has an extensive background working with adolescents and adults in the state's mental health system. Ann is currently a community developer and educator with the NH chapter of the The National Alliance on Mental Illness. Patricia Eddy John Eriquezzo, M.S. has served as Director of Residential Services at Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center since 2001 providing supervision and management of residential services for eighty plus children and young adults affected by a variety of disabling conditions. Jon has worked in residential services since 1979. Melinda Feola-Mahar, M.A.C.P. is the Executive Director of Monadnock Collaborative/Monadnock ServiceLink. She has experience working in private practice as the director of outpatient services and has been a consultant for clinical treatment planning. Melinda is currently a foster parent. Jan Feuer, B.A. is the Intake Specialist for Adopt US Kids and NH Foster & Adoptive Parent Association. She has worke. as a foster care worker in the Keene DCYF office from 1984 - April 1, 2005. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Monadnock Area Foster Parent Association and assisted in the creation of the Foster Parent Mentoring: Linking Families Together curriculum. Linda Fox-Philips, M.S.W. has worked for 30 years in the behavioral health field while raising three sons in Conway. A founding member of Valley Outreach, a network for the prevention of child abuse, she has also been a faculty member of Granite State College for 20 years. Kimberly French, M.Ed. is an instructor for Granite State College and the Community College of Vermont, specializing in criminal justice and family violence. Kimberly has also served as the Treatment Coordinator for Becket School in Pike NH. Tess George, M.A. has taught in the Speech Communication Department and in the MBA program at Penn State, and currently is adjunct faculty at Emmanuel College, UNH and Granite State College. She regularly presents seminars to business and professional organizations. Tess is also a professional storyteller and the recipient of the Kathryn DeBoer Teaching Excellence Award. Robin Gordon, J.D. is the Country Attorney for Carroll County. Robin has experience in criminal defense, and worked in Legal Assistance with clients with low-income on SSI appeals, landlord-tenant defense work, IEA defense work with mental health clients, and child abuse and neglect defense. Robin has worked closely with police departments and other North Country community agencies to educate and clarify guidelines for child abuse and neglect reporting. Deborah Hamilton, Ed. D L.I.C.S.W. Deborah is a licensed clinical social worker, as well as serving as Adjunct Faculty at the UNH Family Studies Department. Deborah provides private practice psychotherapy and has served as the Treatment Coordinator at Our House for Girls in Dover. Suzanne Harrison Valerie Herres, M.Ed. is the Program Director for the Community Substance Abuse Prevention Program at North Country Health Consortium. Valerie's background includes being a parent educator for Dare to Be You, licensure as a certified school guidance counselor, work as a Community Health Educator, and teaching at Granite State College. Heath Hooper Connie Ingalls-O'Keefe Shelly Kernozicky, B.S. provides parent support through Families First in Portsmouth and is a foster and adoptive parent. She has assisted in the development of a therapeutic foster care program for NFI North, implementing strategies to recruit foster families. Shelly served as Vice President for the Monadnock Foster Parent Association and as a volunteer family mediator. Sally Kimball, B.S. is a trained PAYA instructor with more than 20 years experience as a foster parent. Sally also instructs Foundations for Fostering courses. Jennifer Kozaczek, R.D. is the Nutrition Services Manager for the Head Start program through Southwestern Community Services. She worked for seven years as the Nutrition Coordinator for the WIC program in Sullivan and Cheshire Counties. In addition to being a foster parent in the Keene area, Jen has also instructed Community Nutrition at Keene State College. Rachel Lakin, M.S.W. is a social worker for Elderly and Adult Services. She brings a combination of foster care related experiences having been a treatment coordinator for Easter Seals, a foster care licensing social worker for NH DCYF, and a parent aid coordinator for Monadnock Developmental Services. Cassandra Laleme, R.N., M.Ed. has been the school nurse at Lakway Elementary School in Littleton since 1980. She is a member of the Pupil Placement Team for students with medical needs requiring special education. She has been instrumental in writing and receiving grants relating to ADHD and medically challenged students to enhance the education of school personnel. Julie Lamb, M.S.W. has worked for six years as a Child Protective Service Worker and Adoption Worker for DCYF, where she trained potential adoptive parents, and counseled families around adoption issues. Julie has experience as a Residential Counselor and as a Behavioral Aide for Greater Manchester Mental Health Center. Mary Lavanway, R.D. has fifteen years experience as a dietitian and is currently a consultant for Heritage Home Health. She is often a guest speaker at various health related support groups and at N.H. Community Technical College. Lisa MacLean, R.N., C, M.Ed. has 20 years experience providing nursing care to children and adolescents in psychiatric, residential and detention settings. Her experience includes case management, program and policy development, health education and employee health services. Lisa is currently the school nurse at Kearsarge Regional High School. Helen Mahoney Shauna McCarthy, M.S.W. is currently a member of the social work staff at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester. She is formerly a CPSW with DCYF and was the foster home licensor in the Salem District Office. Sue Meagher, M.S. has 18 years experience working in adolescent residential care, including Group Home Director for a girl's home in Derry. For four years, Sue has been the Senior Volunteer Coordinator where she recruits, trains and supervises at Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) in Manchester. Dan Millis Tricia Neville-Carey, M.Ed. coordinates Caregiver Ongoing training for the Granite State College E&TP. She has experience working with families as a social worker in school and medical settings, and has expertise in adult learning theory and practice. Leslie Nicola Nancy Nicolazzo, B.A. has provided consultation and training for universities, schools and businesses for 25 years. Nancy's background includes foster care licensing, casework and training. She has developed and taught many for the Education and Training Partnership. Elizabeth Norris, B.S. has over 24 years of teaching experience in special needs preschool through third grade. The last 9 years she has been a special needs preschool coordinator in a NH public school system. Elizabeth is a certified trainer of the Good Touch/Bad TouchBody Safety Program, an Early Childhood consultant, and member of Early Education & Intervention Network of NH. Rene Ouellet, M.S.W., L.I.C.S.W. currently provides family and individual therapy for latency age children, adolescents and parents at Riverbend Mental Health Center in Concord, NH. Rene has 30 years of experience working with youth, teens and parents as a therapist, program director, clinical supervisor, administrator, trainer and consultant. He teaches at the University of New Hampshire and Granite State College. He has also presented seminars and workshops for professionals, parents and students on a wide range of topics. June Partridge Donald Poulin has been teaching basic sign language classes at Granite State College since 1985. He has experience as a counselor to the deaf at Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center. Don holds a Certificate of Professional Achievement in recognition of outstanding performance as a trainer in the UNH-NHSLC employee development and training program. Fred Richardson, Ph.D. is a therapist at Riverbend Family Counseling Center, and is knowledgeable in the areas of chemical dependency, juvenile delinquency, foster care and family services. He has taught psychology courses, provided therapy, supervised multi-disciplinary treatment teams, and managed a variety of human services programs. Mark Richmond, M.Ed. is currently a special education paraprofessional teacher and is pursuing his M.Ed. Mark is skilled in IEP's, behavior management programs, training in classroom environment, instructional and curriculum design and classroom modification. He is also adjunct faculty at Hesser College. Diane M. Scagliotti, M.A., L.C.M.H.C. Diane is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has worked with adult and juvenile incarcerated offenders. Diane also facilitates sex offender group therapy as well as working with victims of sexual and/or domestic violence. Gail Sharpe, R.N. is a Child Abuse Prevention Trainer & Co-Founder of Prevention & Empowerment, a Child Abuse Prevention Resource offering trainings, consultations and workshops through out New England. She has been a foster parent for the past 15 years becoming Specialized in 97 and enjoys working with adolescents transitioning from residential to the community. Her background includes working as a psychiatric RN and a Family School Coordinator in a public school. Mo Anne Shyne, M.A. is a licensed clinical mental health counselor in private practice within a group practice. She is also an emergency foster home and does respite for DCYF, generally taking in difficutl teens. She has also done long term foster care. Mo has facilitated numerous workshops on all sorts of topics and done in-service trainings at DCYF and for their organization. She has done workshops in the area schools and libraries for over a decade now. Joe Smith, M.Ed., C.A.G.S. is the Assistant Principal at Monadnock Regional High School in Swanzey. He has experience as a high school counselor and teacher, working with students and families. Joe has been a foster parent since 1997, opening his home to adolescent males, and working closely with Easter Seals as a member of the treatment teams. Kelly Smith, L.I.C.S.W. is an experienced therapist, educator and administrator. She has over 15 years experience working with children and families around issues of loss, trauma and attachment in both an outpatient and residential setting. Working with foster and adoptive children and families has become her area of specialty in her private practice. Kelly has taught undergraduate courses in social work and psychology for Granite State College. JoEllen Space, M.Ed. currently provides professional development services for Division of Children, Youth and Families employees, including academic and career counseling. In addition, She coordinates Residential Counselor Core Training, which addresses the basic knowledge, skills and abilities essential to the position of residential counselor. JoEllen is also an adjunct instructor for Southern New Hampshire University teaching courses in professional development and education. Christopher St. Cyr has 12 years experience as a police officer. He has worked for the Lancaster PD for the past nine years and has been a DARE officer since 1991. Chris has additional experience as a trainer in photography, firearms, and CPR. Lynn Stanley, M.S.W. has been a social worker at Casey Family Services for the past seven years. She currently manages the Technical Support to Foster Parents contract and previously worked in Casey's Long Term and Therapeutic Foster Care Programs. Barbara Starbird. M.A. is an experienced clinician, administrator, and teacher. Her areas of expertise include: child abuse/sexual abuse, adult survivor recovery, substance abuse, domestic violence, and emergency crisis intervention. Jennie Stewart-Boldin, B.A. is an experienced mediator, educator/trainer and administrator with over 15 years experience in human services, private and public schools, the courts, foster care and higher education. She currently mediates ADA disputes for the Department of Justice. Sheryl Tedford, M.A. is the Program Development Specialist for the Education & Training Partnership. Before joining Granite State College, she was the Executive Director of the Rochester Parent/Child Center. Previous to this, Sheryl worked for Casey Family Services in the field of foster care. Sheryl has experience teaching parenting classes and training foster parents. Michelle Tiano, B.A., A.D., Nursing is currently an Admissions Nurse with Catholic Medical Center in Manchester. She has also been a Residential Supervisor at Nashua Children's Home. Kristina Toth, B.A. has over 13 years experience working with children and families. She is currently the Program Administrator for the Family Connections Center at the NH State Prison in Laconia. The Center provides classes,visits and various forms of support for incarcerated parents and their families. Kristina has experience in counseling, group work, public presentations and training. Dwyer Vessey, B.A. is a corporate trainer with over 10 years of experience. She is a certified Zenger Miller trainer with an emphasis in team building. Dwyer is certified in conflict resolution and facilitation through University of Southern Maine, and has provided mediation for Youth Alternatives of Greater Portland. Lisa von Braun Christine Wallin, M.Ed. was the Director of Concord Head Start Childcare and an Educator for Concord Even Start. She worked for 13 years as teacher and administrator for Montessori Learning Center in Concord. Chris teaches Curriculum Development for the NH Community Technical College in Laconia. Bethany Whiton, B.A. is a Freelance Sign Language Interpreter. She holds degrees in Sociology and Early Childhood Education, and has experience as a residential childcare worker at Child and Family Services and as a teachers assistant at Crotched Mountain Preparatory School, where she taught sign language to staff and students. Pamela Whitney, Ed. D. is a mediator, educator/trainer and administrator with over 15 years experience in human services, private and public schools, the courts, foster care and higher education. She currently mediates ADA disputes for the Department of Justice. |
