Graduates of associate degree programs with a technical or career focus can continue their education in Granite State College's Bachelor of Science (BS) in Applied Studies. This degree program was developed in collaboration with the Community Technical College System of New Hampshire (CCSNH), and offers AS or AAS degree graduates from CCSNH and other accredited institutions a seamless transition to a bachelor's degree at Granite State College.
Some examples of technical associate degrees that transition into the Bachelor of Science in Applied Studies program include computer technology, fire science, and automotive technology. Examples of highly specific, career-focused associate degrees that are also well-suited to this bachelor's degree program include interior design, human resource administration, nursing, culinary arts, or others.
Students with associate degrees enter Granite State College with full junior status and credit for all CCSNH* courses. Courses may be taken online or at any of our statewide Learning Centers.
The BS in Applied Studies combines a strong foundation in liberal arts with upper-level courses that build on your previous education and experience. The required curriculum includes science, humanities, social science, and electives. We offer three program options to choose from so that you can best match the degree to your specific career needs.
* If your associate degree is not from an CCSNH college (formerly NHCTC-New Hampshire Community Technical Colleges), ask your advisor about additional articulation agreements that may be in process.
