Chancellor Leach Salutes GSC Students
Dear GSC Students,
Serving as President of Granite State College these past three years has been tremendously rewarding. Having been the first in my family to attend college, the GSC mission of access to quality higher education is one that holds personal meaning for me. The students I have met at our various campus locations, through online chat, and at our graduation ceremonies have reinforced for me the important role GSC plays for so many individuals and families across the state; GSC changes lives by providing meaningful and transformative educational opportunities.
Granite State College provided me with an opportunity to lead a great team and a great institution that plays an important and positive role in the state of New Hampshire. As we conclude our fortieth year, I take great pride in the College's history and am very pleased at the extraordinary accomplishments and recognition the College received just this past year:
People have taken notice of our success at GSC; it is truly a high performing team and a college on the move. The Board of Trustees of the University System of New Hampshire have also taken notice and have asked me to play a larger role across the system as Chancellor of the University System. Since GSC is a part of the University System I will continue to be in a position to help the College maintain its momentum and continue its track record of success.
I am also very confident in the team that is in place at GSC. There is a national search for a new president and in the interim, Kathi Mullin will be serving as Chief Administrative Officer for the College. The Search Committee will include trustee, student, and staff representatives and I fully expect that we will attract a strong pool of applicants.
I take great pride in GSC, as I hope you do as well. I take particular pride in our graduates whom have gone on to serve many leadership and professional roles across the state. Although my work as Chancellor will have a broader focus, I look forward to continuing my support of your academic and professional goals and I hope to celebrate with you and your family at a future Commencement.
Todd Leach, Ph.D.
