Faculty Lecturer or Senior Lecturer
RN to BSN Program
Granite State College (GSC) is seeking a new faculty member dedicated to innovative public higher education and high-quality nursing education for its RN to BSN program. Reporting to the full-time faculty Director of the RN to BSN Program, this position will be an 80% time, 12-month faculty appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer, depending upon qualifications. Course load will vary with other responsibilities.
GSC has locations throughout New Hampshire and is the adult-oriented, online leader in the University System of New Hampshire. Founded in 1972, GSC has a large array of undergraduate programs, including the RN to BSN program established in 2012, and a School of Education; the College began offering the Master of Science degree in 2011. As the fastest-growing public higher education institution in New England, GSC benefits from an entrepreneurial culture and a mission-driven team. The College has a small number of full-time undergraduate and graduate faculty within a non-tenure model that normally includes both teaching and administration.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: teaching; student advising; recruiting, managing, and evaluating adjunct faculty; program visibility and enrollment initiatives including partnership cultivation and prospective student outreach; developing course content and materials; curriculum review and updating, supporting admissions and transfer review; contribution to program-specific and regional accreditation; and serving on faculty and college committees.
This position requires a strong commitment to teaching excellence and innovation, and a dedicated focus on the student experience. An exemplary record of teaching at the baccalaureate level, including online, is required, with substantial real-world professional experience within the field a must. Proficiency with current technology standards such as Banner, CRM, e-portfolios, LMS, and other higher education systems is expected. A Master of Science in Nursing and unencumbered RN license are required. Experience with curriculum development and program planning/evaluation is desired, as is an appreciation for adult-focused higher education. Certified Nurse Educator with a doctorate (PhD, EdD, or DNP) strongly preferred.
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Must be able to travel to GSC centers throughout New Hampshire. Some nights and weekends required. This is a benefits eligible position.
