Master of Science Degree in Management
Granite State College (GSC) is currently seeking a full-time faculty member for its Master of Science program in Management. This program is offered in both online and blended formats to meet the needs of working professionals. The Master of Science in Management program provides a practice-oriented educational experience that empowers students to meet managerial challenges in their workplaces and advance their careers.
The College seeks a full-time faculty member dedicated to innovative public higher education and specifically to advancing first-rate professionally-focused graduate programs.
GSC has locations throughout New Hampshire and is the adult-oriented, online leader in the University System of New Hampshire. Founded in 1972, GSC has a large array of undergraduate programs and a School of Education. Master’s programs were introduced in 2011; the Master of Science in Management degree was established in 2013. As the fastest-growing public higher education institution in New England, GSC benefits from an entrepreneurial culture and a mission-driven team. The College has a small number of full-time graduate and undergraduate faculty within a non-tenure model that includes both teaching and administration.
The full-time faculty member in Management will provide academic and teaching leadership for the program, overseeing quality and fostering appropriate growth. S/he will have combined administrative and teaching duties. Course load will vary with other responsibilities.
Responsibilities Include: teaching; recruiting and managing adjunct faculty (graduate and undergraduate); student advising; developing course content and materials; curriculum review and updating, supporting admissions and recruiting activities; contribution to accreditation; and serving on faculty and college committees.
Qualifications: This position requires a strong commitment to teaching excellence and innovation, and a dedicated focus on the student experience. An exemplary record of teaching including online is required, with substantial real-world professional experience within the field a must. Proficiency with current technology standards such as Banner, CRM, e-portfolios, LMS, and other higher education systems is expected. Candidates must have a terminal degree, preferably a doctorate, in management or a business field (e.g. HR, Accounting, Finance).
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Additional Information: Must be able to travel to GSC centers throughout New Hampshire. Some nights and weekends may be required. This is a benefits eligible position.
